Mining Engineer

As a Mining Engineer, you’ll work closely with a team of experienced professionals to plan, monitor and optimise underground mining operations. This is a hands-on role where your contributions will directly support safe, productive and cost-effective outcomes.

Roster:

This role will be based onsite in Cobar, NSW working an 8/6 days FIFO roster from Brisbane or Sydney with local candidates highly regarded.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement drill and blast plans
• Stope design, optimisation and reconciliation.
• Provide technical input into daily, weekly, and monthly mine plans
• Monitor development and production performance
• Providing technical support and troubleshooting
• Collaborate with technical and operational teams to ensure plan compliance
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across the site

Qualifications

What We're Looking For:

• Tertiary qualifications in Mining Engineering or equivalent
• Demonstrated underground hard rock mining experience is essential
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Proven ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
• Exposure to mine planning software (e.g., Deswik, Surpac) will be highly regarded
