Maintenance Tech 2 weekend shift

Hayden Industrial, a manufacturer of industrial cooling systems, is seeking a Maintenance Technician II. This proficient multi-craft position independently troubleshoots, repairs, and maintains production and facility equipment across electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems. Maintenance Technician II resolves common and moderately complex failures, supports less-experienced technicians, and contributes to equipment reliability and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the Facilities and Maintenance Manager and related projects, shutdowns, equipment installations, commissioning, preventive and predictive maintenance, planned corrective work across multiple facilities, and other duties as assigned.

• Independently diagnose and repair production and facility equipment using systematic mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic troubleshooting methods.

• Perform precision alignment, torque application, lubrication, and repairs involving bearings, belts, chains, gearboxes, pumps, compressors, cranes, industrial vehicles, and overhead doors.

• Troubleshoot industrial power and control circuits using prints, one-line diagrams, schematics, and appropriate electrical test equipment.

• Diagnose and repair motors, motor controls, variable-frequency drives, control panels, transformers, power supplies, instrumentation, analog and digital devices, and low-voltage controls.

• Troubleshoot PLC input/output, ladder logic, HMIs, sensors, solenoids, servo and motion-control components, and industrial networks. Escalate software changes requiring advanced programming authority.

• Diagnose and repair hydraulic and pneumatic systems using schematics, including pumps, valves, filtration, cooling circuits, safety devices, hoses, fittings, and cylinders.

• Fabricate or modify repair parts using welding, manual lathes, manual mills, and industrial band saws as assigned.

• Complete detailed work-order histories, document failure causes and repairs, and identify recurring equipment problems using accepted RCA methods.

• Identify and order routine parts, assist with contractor coordination, and support planned outages and equipment installations.

• Coach Associate Maintenance Technicians and Maintenance Technicians I on safe routine work and troubleshooting methods.

• Recommend and participate in preventive-maintenance, safety, reliability, and process improvements.

Hayden Industrial has determined this position involves safety-sensitive job duties and will be considered a safety-sensitive position for purposes of the Oklahoma Medical Marijuana and Patient Protection Act (the Unity Bill), effective August 29, 2019.

Education and Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent required. Technical training in industrial maintenance, electrical systems, or a related field is preferred.

• Ability to read and understand English-language safety procedures, work orders, equipment manuals, and technical documents; communicate clearly in spoken English during maintenance activities and emergencies; and document completed work accurately in written English.

• At least three years of industrial maintenance experience, preferably in a heavy manufacturing environment.

• Proficient knowledge of mechanical power transmission, industrial electrical systems, motor controls, hydraulics, pneumatics, and preventive maintenance.

• Experience troubleshooting industrial electrical systems, including equipment operating at up to 480 volts, within applicable qualification and authorization requirements.

• Working knowledge of PLC input/output, ladder logic, HMIs, variable-frequency drives, instrumentation, and industrial controls.

• Ability to read and apply electrical prints, machine drawings, hydraulic and pneumatic schematics, and technical manuals.

• Experience with computerized maintenance management systems and complete work-order documentation.

Supervisor Responsibility:
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Work Environment:
Non-temperature controlled environment with loud noises, dust, dirt, and metal particles that are usually associated with metal fabrication shops. All employees are required to wear personal protective equipment to include noise/hearing protection, safety glasses with side shields, (paint masks, respirator, when required) and OSHA compliant safety boots/shoes within the manufacturing facility.

While performing duties of this job, the employee in this position is regularly required to stand for long periods of time. This position requires walking, the ability to reach, ascend/descend ladders, bend, kneel, and stoop. The employee occasionally will lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Friday through Sunday, 5:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.

No travel is required for this position.
