Site / Civil Engineer

Hazen and Sawyer is seeking Site / Civil Engineer for our Raleigh, NC office with occasional local and regional travel required.  This role involves both hands-on work in layout planning, piping systems, grading, paving, roadways, and stormwater infrastructure, as well as managing various stages of project development, from conceptual design to construction support.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop site layout plans including yard piping, roadways, grading, stormwater systems, and paving for water/wastewater projects.
• Conceptual and preliminary design efforts, including field visits, data collection, alternatives analysis, and technical reporting.
• Perform hydraulic calculations and contribute to hydraulic modeling tasks.
• Permitting processes and evaluating design alternatives.
• Coordinate work with sub-consultants and ensure design integration.
• Prepare technical memoranda, reports, and electronic design deliverables.
• Provide construction-phase support by reviewing contractor submittals and responding to RFIs.
• Site reconnaissance and field investigations.
