We're Hiring – Catering Assistant / Cook
Gulf Views Rest Home is a warm, welcoming aged care facility dedicated to providing exceptional care and support to our residents. Our kitchen plays an important role in creating a positive dining experience by preparing nutritious, high-quality meals that residents enjoy every day. We are looking for enthusiastic, reliable team members who take pride in their work and enjoy making a difference in the lives of others.
Catering Assistant Responsibilities
- Assist with food preparation and meal service
- Support the cook with daily kitchen tasks
- Ensure crockery, utensils, and kitchen areas are kept clean and hygienic
- Deliver excellent customer service to residents and visitors
- Follow food safety and health & safety procedures
Cook Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook nutritious meals in line with menu plans and dietary requirements
- Ensure meals are presented to a high standard
- Maintain food safety, hygiene, and kitchen cleanliness
- Assist with stock rotation and kitchen organisation
- Work collaboratively with the catering team to provide an excellent dining experience
What We're Looking For
- Previous experience in hospitality, catering, or commercial kitchens (preferred)
- A genuine passion for food and providing excellent service
- A caring, respectful, and positive attitude
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Reliable, punctual, and well organised
- Knowledge of food safety practices (Food Safety Certificate is an advantage)
