    Job Description: Working under the direction of the Manager, the Health Educator-Staff will support programming in Family Resources Centers and the larger community. The Health Educator-Staff will draw on theoretical and practical expertise to guide approaches using recent research and promising practices of early childhood development including culturally relevant, trauma informed practices. The Health Educator-Staff ensures that programming is culturally relevant using a trauma informed lens. The Health Educator-Staff collaborates with team members, community partners, program participants and other key stakeholders to translate local data into early learning environments to support quality assurance, program development, and service delivery.

    • Degree in Human Services field acceptable to the employer

    Licenses

    • Valid Class 5 driver's license

    Knowledge and Abilities

    • Ability to follow safe work practices
    • Ability to research best practice
    • Knowledge and understanding of child development in the family context
    • Knowledge and an understanding of the Saskatchewan Health Care Management model
    • Knowledge of various cultures and traditions
