    • 28 shifts of 8 hours

      Hours of Work: 28 shifts of 8 hours in a 6 week rotation
      Salary or Pay Band: Pay Band Nurse B $42.040 to $52.440
      Travel Required: No
      Job Description: Assists in planning/implementation/evaluation of program activities based on determinants of health, best practice literature & community assessment. Provides health information/consultation/emotional support & referral via telephone & in one-on-one contacts (clinical, school, home & community setting). Reviews/develops/evaluates educational materials. Assists in writing articles/preparing bulletin board displays & appearing in television interviews. Conducts educational programs for selected population groups in a variety of settings. Provides parenting education & support programs to foster healthy functioning families. Uses strategies to reduce communicable disease including immunization. Screens infants & preschool children for specific delays & deficiencies related to growth & development. Provides observational experiences for nursing/medical/nutrition students. Precepts nursing students. Maintains accurate client records/statistics/workload measurement tools.

      Education

      • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN)

      Other Education and Training

      • Basic Life Support Certificate (BLS)

      Knowledge and Abilities

      • Ability to communicate with clients from diverse economic backgrounds
      • Ability to work independently and as a member of a multi-disciplinary team
      • Ability to communicate with clients from diverse social backgrounds
      • Ability to communicate with clients from diverse cultural backgrounds

      • Registered/eligible with the College of Registered Nurses of Saskatchewan (CRNS)
