    Job Description: Reporting to a Manager/Rehabilitation Coordinator, the Staff Occupational Therapist is responsible for the assessment and treatment of clients. Staff Therapists have the knowledge to assess and treat clients but may require some professional guidance/mentoring from peers and senior therapists. All therapists are responsible for the supervision of students. "Preference for this position will be given to HSAS members in accordance with the terms and conditions of the SAHO/HSAS Collective Agreement"

    Education

    • Bachelor of Occupational Therapy

    Licenses

    • Valid Class 5 driver's license
    • Basic Life Support Certificate (BLS)
    • Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation Certificate (CPR)

    Memberships

    • Canadian Association of Occupational Therapists (CAOT)

    Competencies

    • Communication skills

    Knowledge and Abilities

    • Ability to establish and maintain effective work relationships.
    • Commitment to quality, safety, and improvement striving towards zero harm
    • Demonstrated commitment to continuing professional development
    • Demonstrated understanding of case management in the service delivery approach
    • Ability to conduct assessments/prioritize client needs/develop treatment plans
    • Demonstrated knowledge in educational resource development.

    • Valid driver's license, where required
    • Registered/eligible with the Saskatchewan Society of Occupational Therapists
    • May be eligible for Recruitment and/or Retention Incentives
