    Number of Hours per Rotation: 8 hours shift

    Hours of work: Standard hours
    Salary or Pay Band: Pay Band 16 $36.160 to $38.720 (3 step range)
    Travel Required: No
    Job Description: Fabricates/repairs artificial limbs and braces (prostheses or orthoses) to provide maximum fit, function, appearance and workmanship.
    Human Resources Exemption: No
    Experience

    • No previous experience. Two (2) years (3450 hours) training/experience working
    • certified professional (or registered technician) prior to becoming registered
    • as a Prosthetics & Orthotics Technician under the supervision of an on-site

    Education

    • Orthotic/Prosthetic Technician Program

    Licenses

    • Orthotics Prosthetics Canada
    • Registered Technician in Prosthetics
    • Registered Technician in Orthotics

    Competencies

    • Interpersonal skills
    • Communication skills
    • Basic - Computer skills
    • Organizational skills

    Knowledge and Abilities

    • Ability to work independently

    Other Information

    • Registered with Orthotics Prosthetics Canada as a
    • Registered Technician in Orthotics and/or a Registered Technician in Prosthetics
