    Make a Difference Before and After the School Bell Rings! Healthy Kids Programs is hiring Childcare Assistants for our Before and After School Program at Columbia Middle School Taylor Campus in Columbia, PA for the 2026–2027 school year. If you love working with children, leading engaging activities, and being part of a positive, supportive team, you’ll help shape a safe and fun environment where kids can grow and thrive.

    JOB STATUS: Part-time, non-exempt

    LOCATION:

    Columbia Middle School Taylor Campus in Columbia, PA PAY: $13.50 - $14.50 per hour HOURS: 7:00 - 8:30 am & 2:45 - 6:00 pm Featured Benefit: Employer-Paid Childcare Healthy Kids Programs provides childcare for school-age children (ages 5–12) enrolled in our program on the days and during the hours you work. Employer contributions cover the cost of care, so you can focus on your job while your child participates in a safe, structured, and engaging program, all without needing to arrange outside care.

    Position Responsibilities The Before and After School Program team is responsible for: Assisting with the facilitation of hands-on activities following the Healthy Kids Curriculum, including fitness, STEAM, academic enrichment, art, and group activities Assisting students with homework Providing a safe, healthy, clean, and fun environment Serving as a positive role model for children in the program Arriving prepared and remaining on-site until the last child is dismissed Communicating daily with parents and families via the Playground App Following state regulations, Healthy Kids Extended Day Program policies, and host school policies Supporting attendance tracking, registration, and staffing as needed
