Accounts Payable Specialist

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.

• Minimum 2 years of experience in accounts payable or a related accounting role.

• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, or similar) and Microsoft Excel.

• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.

• Excellent organizational and time management skills.

• Effective communication skills for working with vendors and internal teams.

Preferred Skills & Attributes

• Solid understanding of general accounting principles and accounts payable best practices.

• Experience with 3-way invoice matching and purchase order processes.

• Familiarity with 1099 processing and year-end reporting requirements.

• Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.

• Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and consistently meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

• Experience with ERP systems or automated AP workflows is a plus.
