Day Program Activities Coordinator

Heart to Heart is hiring an Activities Coordinator for our Sewell Day Program.  We are looking for an outgoing, organized and creative person who is passionate about helping individuals with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities engage in programs and events that enrich their lives on a daily basis.

• Must be at least 18 years of age or older

• Driver's License valid in the state of NJ with a good driver's history

• Must have a high school diploma

• A requirement that the employee submit to a criminal background check, and be determined to be not disqualified by the Department of Human Services prior to working with individuals served.

• A requirement that the employee agree to have their name checked against the Central Registry of Offenders Against Individuals with Developmental Disabilities

• All employees hired after 6/15/18 shall submit to drug testing prior to employment

• All employees shall submit to drug testing conducted randomly and for cause.

• All employees shall complete an application to have their name checked against the Child Abuse Registry Information (CARI).

• A requirement that the employee cooperate with the licensee and Department of Human Services staff in any inspection, inquiry or investigation

• Must be able to lift, push or pull up to 35+ pounds

• Organizational skills and attention to detail

• Strong oral and written communication skills

• Good Computer Skills

• Creativity and problem-solving ability

• 1 year of experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities preferred.

• AA or BA preferred

• 1 year of activities coordination experience preferred
