We are seeking a Sr. Associate (Lead AWS Engineer) to join our Platform Engineering team, responsible for building and operating a reliable, scalable AWS platform. This role demands strong hands-on expertise in troubleshooting core AWS services, driving automation-first operations, and improving platform reliability. You will lead incident management efforts, reduce MTTR through automation and observability, and partner with global stakeholders during US office hours. Requirements:
- Lead end-to-end incident triage, troubleshooting, and resolution acrossEC2, S3, SSM, IAM, ECS, Lambda, Step Function, SCPs, SSO, VPC,RDS, AWS AI Services, and ECS environments
- Design and implement platform reliability improvements through automation, monitoring, and architectural optimizations
- Build and maintain automation solutions (Python/Powershell) to eliminate manual tasks and enable self-healing workflows
- Enforce AWS security best practices including IAM least privilege, credential hygiene, and periodic access reviews
- Leverage AWS Systems Manager (SSM) for fleet management, patching, remote execution, and automation
- Manage and govern S3 storage including lifecycle policies, encryption, access controls, and data protection standards
- Collaborate closely with US-based stakeholders during overlapping business hours for operations and escalations
- Participate in and lead on-call rotations, handling P1/P2 incidents and ensuring timely resolution
- Mentor junior engineers, review solutions, and drive best practices in platform engineering and operations
- Continuously identify and deliver improvements that increase deployment success rate, platform stability, and operational efficiency
Preferences:
- 6–8 years of experience in cloud infrastructure/platform engineering, with strong AWS exposure
- Proven hands-on troubleshooting expertise across EC2, S3, SSM, IAM, ECS, Lambda, Step Function, SCPs, SSO, VPC, RDS, AWS AIServices
- Mandatory: Strong automation experience (Python, Terraform/CloudFormation)
- Solid understanding of IAM, security best practices, and cloud governance
- Experience with observability tools (CloudWatch or equivalent logging/monitoring platforms)
- Strong collaboration skills, especially working with distributed/global teams
