What You'll Be Doing
- Operate and monitor plant equipment to safely produce high-quality sand and gravel products.
- Perform routine equipment inspections, identify potential issues, and assist with basic maintenance and repairs.
- Monitor material flow, conveyors, screens, crushers, and other processing equipment to support efficient production.
- Maintain clean and organized work areas while following established safety, environmental, and operational procedures.
- Collaborate with team members to meet production goals and maintain safe, reliable plant operations.
What Are We Looking For
- Ability to safely operate, monitor, and troubleshoot plant and mobile equipment while following established procedures.
- Strong safety mindset with the ability to recognize hazards, communicate concerns, and take appropriate action.
- Mechanical aptitude with the ability to perform routine inspections, basic maintenance, and minor equipment adjustments.
- Ability to communicate effectively, work collaboratively, follow instructions, and adapt to changing operational priorities.
- Dependability and willingness to work in a hands-on, outdoor production environment.
Conditions of Employment
- Successful candidate must submit to post-offer pre-employment physical examination, post-offer drug screen, and background check.
Physical Demands of the Job
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and frequently bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, and reach while performing job duties.
- Ability to safely climb stairs and ladders and access elevated work areas and plant equipment.
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds as needed to perform essential job functions.
- Ability to use hand and power tools and perform repetitive physical tasks associated with plant operations, inspections, cleanup, and basic maintenance.
- Ability to perform physically demanding work for extended periods while maintaining safe work practices in varying plant and outdoor conditions.
Work Environment
- Role operates primarily in environments where the conditions include moving mechanical equipment, inclement weather, heat, cold, humidity, and elevated noise level.
