What You'll Be Doing
- Perform hands-on quality control testing on ready-mix concrete and aggregates in plant and field environments to ensure materials meet specifications.
- Complete aggregate moisture testing and other routine quality checks to support daily concrete production.
- Monitor concrete performance and assist with adjusting mixes and admixtures based on testing results.
- Work directly with concrete trucks, plant equipment, and operations teams to identify and communicate quality concerns.
- Collect, document, and maintain accurate test results and quality records using basic computer systems.
- Assist with hands-on plant and operational tasks as needed to support production and business needs.
What Are We Looking For
- Dependable, hardworking individuals who are comfortable working in a hands-on plant and outdoor environment.
- Previous concrete or quality control experience is not required; we are willing to train candidates who demonstrate a strong willingness to learn.
- Experience in manufacturing, production, construction, or other hands-on environments is helpful but not required.
- Strong basic math skills, including basic algebra and calculations.
- Basic computer literacy and the ability to learn company systems
- Strong attention to detail, communication skills, and the ability to work independently and as part of an operations team.
Work Environment
- Work is performed in both laboratory and outdoor plant environments.
- Regular exposure to varying weather conditions, dust, noise, and moving equipment.
- May require standing, walking, lifting, and performing physical testing activities throughout the workday.
- Travel between plants, job sites, and customer locations may be required.
