Tube Mill Operator

Heidtman Tubular Products, a Heidtman Steel company, is seeking a dedicated, experienced Tube Mill Operator to join our team in Erie, MI, as we consider adding additional shifts to our operation - 2nd & 3rd shift opportunities available. We are looking for individuals who are committed to maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and efficiency in our production processes. Some responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Ensure the tube mill is greased as preventative maintenance requires Ensure micrometers are calibrated at the start of the day and at changeovers Ensure efficiency and run rates are consistently met Ensure a quality product is produced Take an active lead during changeovers, breakdowns, bottlenecks, and scheduled downtime Ability to set up and operate the mill independently Effectively communicate with others on the line to meet quality and operation standards Fill out all operating reports and quality reports as required Report any irregularities or malfunctions to managers and/or maintenance for correction Assist maintenance in making repairs Maintain a clean and safe work area Other duties as assigned
