Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) - Forensic ACT Program

Overview

Helio Health is on a mission to treat and promote recovery from the effects of substance use, mental health disorders, and other behavioral healthcare issues. In order to support our mission, Helio Health is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to work on a Part-Time basis for our Forensic ACT program. The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) will provide comprehensive treatment to those affected by substance use, mental health, and other behavioral health disorders.

Schedule: Monday through Friday, w/ a flexible Part-Time schedule available.

Pay Range: $25.00 - $28.00/hr.

Responsibilities

• Works in a variety of clinical settings providing medical and counseling services as a member of the multi-disciplinary treatment team.
• Provide client services for medical issues.
• Monitors and documents clients’ medical status, signs and symptoms of withdrawal and reports to supervisor or medical director.
• Works with other medical staff for continuity of clients’ medical care.
• Communicates with clinical staff regarding clients’ medical concerns.
• Works directly with clients in providing medical services and interpreting medical information.
• Provides direct client care of medical assessment, implementation of medical orders, communicable and infectious disease reporting in accordance with the law.
• Provides public health and screening protocols.
• Provides and documents medical consultation, assessment, examination, and treatment planning and review consistency with agency policy and requirements.

Qualifications

• Must be a licensed Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) currently registered by the New York State Department.
• At least one year of experience, or comparable training in integrated mental health and substance use services.
• Basic computer skills required.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and own transportation:
  • Helio Healths insurance carrier requires that employees who drive personal vehicles for work maintain minimum auto insurance coverage limits of at least $100,000/person; $300,000/accident and that employees provide HR with proof of current minimum insurance coverage (copy of Auto Liability Insurance Declaration Page) on their first day of employment. Employees are required to provide an updated Auto Liability Insurance Declaration Page to HR by expiration date on Declaration Page.

Salary and hourly compensation ranges are provided in accordance with NYS law and are based on Helio Health's good faith belief of what is accurate at the time of posting. Salary and hourly compensation offers are based on candidate's education level and experience relevant to the position and also take into account information provided by the hiring manager and program.
