About this Position
The Principal Application Engineer – Electronics serves as the technical expert for electronic applications involving adhesives, coatings, bonding, and gasketing solutions. This role acts as the bridge between customer requirements, technology trends, and internal innovation efforts, translating technical needs into product recommendations, application solutions, and strategic growth opportunities.
The position partners closely with customers, sales teams, product development, innovation, and marketing functions to deliver technical expertise, support new business development, and drive customer success through advanced application engineering solutions.
What you´ll do
- Act as the primary technical expert for electronic applications involving adhesives, coatings, bonding, and gasketing technologies.
- Translate customer needs, market trends, and emerging technologies into product requirements and innovation roadmap recommendations.
- Recommend products and application solutions that create value and address customer challenges.
- Conduct technical customer visits, including meetings, audits, product demonstrations, process evaluations, and troubleshooting activities.
- Support the implementation and optimization of adhesive-related manufacturing and assembly processes.
- Deliver customized application support, product evaluations, and new product demonstrations.
- Investigate and resolve technical issues while ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.
- Collect and leverage customer feedback to improve products, services, and identify new business opportunities.
- Support quality investigations and customer claims by coordinating with the appropriate internal stakeholders.
- Provide technical training and coaching to customers, distributors, and commercial teams.
- Collaborate closely with Sales, Business Development, Marketing, Product Development, Innovation, and Application Engineering teams.
- Coordinate laboratory activities related to customer samples and communicate technical findings and recommendations.
- Drive effective customer engagement through both onsite and remote technical support.
- Share best practices, technical learnings, and innovation opportunities across regions and business units.
- Support strategic customer projects and contribute to business growth initiatives.
