About this Position
The Technical Sales Engineer is responsible for driving profitable growth of the LOCTITE® portfolio within the General Manufacturing & Maintenance (GMM) by providing technical expertise, application engineering support, and solution-based selling. The role works closely with distributors, end users, and internal stakeholders to identify opportunities, optimize manufacturing processes, and deliver value-added adhesive, sealing, lubrication, and maintenance solutions.
What you´ll do
Business Development
- Drive profitable sales growth within the assigned territory and customer portfolio.
- Identify and develop new business opportunities in General Manufacturing and Maintenance industries.
- Support specification selling and convert competitive products to LOCTITE® solutions.
- Develop long-term relationships with key end users and distribution partners.
- Strategic growth initiatives and market expansion.
Technical Consulting & Application Engineering
- Provide technical recommendations for bonding, sealing, threadlocking, gasketing, retaining, lubrication, and maintenance applications.
- Conduct on-site technical audits and identify process improvement opportunities.
- Troubleshoot manufacturing and maintenance challenges using LOCTITE® technologies.
- Perform product demonstrations, application testing, and validation trials.
- Prepare technical reports and application recommendations.
Distributor & Customer Support
- Deliver technical training for distributors, customers, and internal sales teams.
- Conduct joint customer visits with distributor sales representatives.
- Support distributor development and increase technical competency within the channel.
- Assist customers during product implementation and qualification processes.
Cross-functional Collaboration
- Work closely with Sales, Key Account Managers, Marketing, Product Management, Customer Service, and Application
- Engineering teams.
- Support pricing initiatives and promotional campaigns.
- Share market intelligence, competitive insights, and customer feedback.
Operational Excellence
- Maintain accurate CRM records and opportunity pipelines.
- Prepare visit reports and technical documentation.
- Ensure compliance with Henkel safety, quality, and environmental standards.
What makes you a good fit
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Materials Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- Experience in industrial manufacturing, maintenance, engineering, or technical sales.
- Knowledge of industrial adhesives, sealants, lubrication, maintenance chemicals, or related technologies is an advantage.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent presentation, communication, and customer relationship management skills.
- Fluent English and local language.
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel extensively.
