Responsibilities
- Assesses the status of all patients and implements appropriate nursing care.
- Administers prescribed medications and treatments following approved nursing procedures.
- Observes patients, records significant conditions and reactions and notifies supervisor, anesthesiology, or physician of significant incidents.
- Assesses patient vital signs to detect deviations from normal and determine patient progress.
- Cross-trained to assist in Ambulatory Care, OR, or PACU whenever necessary.
- Participates in call rotation.
Qualifications
- Work requires a basic knowledge of pathophysiology, the nursing process, nursing interventions, pharmacology, methods utilized for delivering nursing care and the management of patients and personnel.
- Graduation from an accredited school of nursing and current Indiana RN licensure required.
- Work requires a working knowledge of nursing techniques and intervention skills which are normally acquired after six months of clinical experience.
- Previous surgery nursing experience is preferred.

- Full-Time - Monday - Friday - 8A - 4:30P - Weekend call rotation - Rotating holidays
