Clinical responsibilities include providing psychological consultations and brief treatment for outpatients utilizing the Primary Care Behavioral Health Model in Academic Internal Medicine (AIM) Primary Care clinic. The AIM clinic is a high volume fast paced clinic environment that strives to provide the high-quality team-based care for our patients.

- Most of these patients also have co-occurring chronic illnesses
- Consults are typically received via the “warm handoff” model from patients’ primary care physicians or other team members
- It is expected that the psychologist will implement team-based population health approaches to address behavioral health issues that impact chronic disease management
- The psychologist will collaborate with all clinic providers in patient care
- There are opportunities for group therapy and other program development
- The psychologist will also provide supervision for psychology trainees (i.e., psychology interns and/or fellows) on the service
