    Job Title

    Administrative Associate Labor and Delivery

    DAYS 36 HOUR (7AM TO 7:30PM) EVERY OTHER WEEKEND

    Role Overview

    As an Administrative Associate, you will play a vital role in supporting both financial services and patient care delivery teams. Your focus will be on clerical duties, ensuring smooth operations and maintaining confidentiality in all aspects of patient and hospital information. This role is essential in facilitating effective communication and administrative processes that directly impact patient care and hospital efficiency.

    What You Will Do

    • Maintain confidentiality of patient, physician, and hospital information in compliance with Federal and State laws.
    • Coordinate unit communications, including telephone, mail, fax, and pager interactions, in a friendly and accurate manner.
    • Register and admit patients, accurately entering and maintaining demographic and financial information in hospital systems.
    • Verify insurance coverage and process payments for hospital and medical services.
    • Transcribe physician orders and ensure accurate entry into hospital information systems.
    • Assist with the completion of birth certificates, death records, and related documentation according to regulatory requirements.

    What You Will Need

    Required Qualifications

    • High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience.
    • Proficiency in medical terminology, hospital computer systems, and general office equipment.
    • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
    • Good analytical and math skills.
    • Mobility to move between rooms and floors, including the ability to assist in lifting and moving patients.
