This position is based primarily at our Hamtramck location and is expected to work there on a regular basis. About the Role

As a Behavior Technician, you'll make a meaningful difference in the lives of children with autism and related disorders. Working collaboratively with Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs), you'll deliver evidence-based Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) interventions in our clinic-based program, implementing individualized treatment plans through 1:1 and group sessions.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Implement evidence-based ABA interventions and behavioral treatment plans under BCBA supervision, delivering 1:1 and group therapy sessions tailored to each child's unique needs
    • Collect and analyze behavioral data with precision, tracking patient progress and identifying meaningful patterns to inform treatment adjustments
    • Communicate progress effectively through detailed reports and collaborative meetings with BCBAs and families, ensuring transparency and partnership in each child's therapeutic journey
    • Support parent training initiatives and contribute to the development of engaging program materials and teaching resources that extend learning beyond the clinic
    • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including Speech Language Pathologists, diagnostic specialists, and feeding therapists to provide comprehensive, coordinated care

About the Henry Ford Center for Autism and Developmental Disabilities (CADD)

CADD is a world-class center committed to improving the lives of children and youth with special health care needs through comprehensive diagnostic evaluation, evidence-based ABA therapy, medical home standards of care, equitable and culturally responsive quality improvement, and comprehensive professional education. As a CADD team member, you'll have the opportunity to observe, learn from, and collaborate with leading specialists in Speech Language Pathology, Autism Diagnostics, Board Certified Behavior Analysis, and Feeding Therapy.

    EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

    • Bachelor's degree required. Degree in psychology, education, social work, behavioral sciences, human development, or related fields is preferred and will strengthen your foundation for this therapeutic role.
    • Minimum 6 months of direct experience working with children, demonstrating your commitment to supporting young learners and their development.
    • Strong organizational skills and self-motivation—you'll thrive managing individualized treatment plans while maintaining meticulous behavioral data records.
    • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, adapting seamlessly to clinical environments and evolving client needs.
    • Flexibility and responsiveness to support our clinical mission—willingness to maintain availability for communication with BCBAs, clinical staff, and the CADD Medical Director as needed to ensure continuity of care.
    • Genuine passion for making a meaningful difference in the lives of children with autism and developmental disabilities.

    BENEFITS:

    • 401(k) with employer matching
    • Comprehensive health coverage (medical, dental, and vision insurance)
    • Health savings account and flexible spending account options
    • Life insurance and bereavement leave
    • Generous paid time off
    • On-the-job training and professional development assistance
    • Tuition reimbursement to support your career growth and potential BCBA certification pathway
