Role Overview

As a Med Lab Technician, you¿ll play a vital role in delivering accurate and timely laboratory results that directly impact patient care. Working under the supervision of laboratory technologists and leaders, you¿ll perform essential procedures on blood and other body fluids, contributing to the diagnosis and treatment of patients. Your work ensures the smooth operation of our lab and supports the broader healthcare team in providing exceptional care.

What You Will Do

• Perform select procedures on blood and other body fluids using manual techniques or laboratory instruments.
• Utilize laboratory information systems to ensure accurate and efficient processing of specimens.
• Conduct phlebotomy as needed, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
• Follow defined protocols and work under the supervision of laboratory technologists and leaders.
• Contribute to the overall efficiency and accuracy of laboratory operations.

Required Qualifications

• Completion of an Associate Degree Program in Medical Laboratory Technology or Laboratory Science.
• Alternatively, successful completion of an Associates or Bachelors degree with at least 5 college courses from specified sciences (e.g., Anatomy, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, etc.) or Completion of a military 50-60 week technician program and meets the minimum CLIA requirements.

Preferred Qualifications

• MLT certification from a recognized national certifying agency (ASCP or NCA).
