As a Registered Nurse in Acute Dialysis, you'll play a vital role in delivering compassionate, evidence-based care to patients during their most critical moments. Key Responsibilities:
- Comprehensive Patient Assessment & Care Planning: Conduct thorough physical and psychosocial assessments utilizing diagnostic data and clinical expertise to develop individualized care plans that anticipate patient needs and support both short and long-term health goals.
- Direct Patient Care: Implement evidence-based nursing interventions and medical orders to address the complex needs of patients and their families, with sensitivity to age-specific, psychosocial, and educational considerations.
- Continuous Evaluation & Advocacy: Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of care provided, making real-time adjustments to optimize patient outcomes and serve as a strong advocate for patient needs.
- Meticulous Documentation: Maintain accurate, timely documentation of patient assessments, interventions, and responses to care in accordance with clinical standards and regulatory requirements.
- Clinical Leadership: When assigned Charge Nurse responsibilities, provide clinical oversight and mentorship to LPNs and technical personnel, demonstrating professional excellence through role modeling, effective communication, and collaborative problem-solving.
- Team Development: Contribute to a culture of excellence by assisting in the orientation and training of new team members, fostering a supportive environment that promotes professional growth and quality patient care.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: Graduate of state approved school of nursing required. Current State of Michigan RN licensure required. Prior to assuming charge responsibilities, must have at least 12 months experience in nursing care including 3 months experience providing nursing care to maintenance Hemodialysis patients. Previous dialysis experience preferred.
