    Job description

    Full Time - 36 hours/week

    Midnights

    About the Department

    2 Rehab is a 38-bed acute inpatient physical rehabilitation unit. ADC 26. Rehab nursing team works closely with therapy staff to ensure that patients get a minimum of 3 hours of therapy a day. Average LOS is 2 weeks, various patient ages 18 and up. Wide variety of patient population including strokes, amputations, neuromuscular diseases such as Parkinson’s, MS, Guillian-Barre, spinal surgeries, craniotomies, cancer, debility status post MI, CABG, and many patients with multiple medical comorbidities.

    Role Overview

    As a Registered Nurse at Henry Ford Wyandotte Hospital, you will provide compassionate, patient-centered care by leading the coordination and delivery of nursing services. You will support patients and their families through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care plans. Your role is critical in ensuring effective communication with the healthcare team and finding solutions to meet patient goals.

    What You Will Do

    • Provide leadership in the coordination and delivery of quality compassionate patient care.
    • Utilize the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
    • Delegate, supervise, and document care and teaching for patients and their families.
    • Communicate pertinent patient/family information to the healthcare team.
    • Participate in finding and implementing solutions for variances from patient goals.

    • Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
    • Current licensure by the Michigan State Board of Nursing.
