Job Title: Landscaping Shop Manager / Mechanic
Location: Jefferson City
Pay: $20–$30 per hour (based on experience)
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM – 7:00 PM; occasional weekends as needed
Job Overview:
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Shop Manager/Mechanic to oversee the maintenance and repair of our landscaping equipment and vehicles. This role is essential to keeping our operations running smoothly and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Diagnose, repair, and maintain landscaping equipment (mowers, trimmers, blowers, etc.) and company vehicles
- Manage shop operations, including tool organization, inventory, and cleanliness
- Perform routine maintenance (oil changes, blade sharpening, filter replacements, etc.)
- Track equipment condition and schedule preventative maintenance
- Order parts and maintain inventory of supplies
- Ensure all equipment is safe and job-ready each day
- Coordinate with crew leaders and management on equipment needs and repairs
- Maintain a safe and organized work environment
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a small engine mechanic and/or shop manager
- Knowledge of landscaping equipment and basic vehicle repair
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work long hours and occasional weekends
- Good organizational and communication skills
- Valid driver’s license (required)
