Job description

* Firm requirement: Work onsite 3 days per week in Norman, OK office along with current residency in area.

The HRBP serves as the primary Human Resources partner for our Hitachi Vantara Supply Chain organization. This role provides both operational and strategic HR leadership in a fast-paced supply chain environment, partnering closely with business leaders to enhance organizational effectiveness, workforce capability, employee engagement, and business performance.

The successful candidate will balance hands-on employee relations and day-to-day HR execution with strategic talent initiatives, workforce planning, leadership development, and organizational change efforts. As the Global Supply Chain organization continues to evolve, this role will help identify and build the capabilities required to support future growth, operational excellence, and talent sustainability across the function.

This is a hybrid role, which required on site presence 3 times a week.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary HR partner for the Norman Manufacturing & Distribution Center, providing day-to-day support to employees and leaders.
• Partner with Supply Chain leadership to align people strategies with operational and business objectives.
• Manage employee relations matters, including investigations, conflict resolution, performance management, and attendance concerns.
• Ensure compliance with employment laws, company policies, and workplace safety practices.
• Support recruiting, hiring, and onboarding activities for operational and hourly workforce needs with the business and the Talent Acquisition team.
• Lead onboarding, training, and development initiatives that build critical workforce capabilities and support business objectives.
• Partner with leaders on workforce planning, succession planning, staffing strategies, and organizational effectiveness.
• Coach managers on performance management, employee development, and leadership best practices.
• Partner with the business team to improve employee engagement, retention, and recognition initiatives that foster a positive and productive workplace culture.
• Monitor and analyze workforce metrics, including turnover, absenteeism, and talent trends, and recommend actionable improvements.
• Support organizational change management initiatives and help leaders navigate business transformation.
• Identify strategic workforce capabilities needed to support the future Global Supply Chain organization and partner with leaders to develop talent strategies that address capability gaps.
• Collaborate with HR Centers of Excellence and business leaders to execute talent management, learning, compensation, and organizational effectiveness programs.
• Execute core HR processes and programs across the employee lifecycle while continuously improving HR service delivery and operational efficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 5+ years of progressive HR experience, preferably supporting manufacturing, logistics, distribution, supply chain, or other operational environments.
• Strong knowledge of employment law, employee relations, and HR best practices.
• Demonstrated ability to influence leaders and provide strategic HR guidance in a fast-paced business environment.
• Experience supporting a high-volume hourly workforce and managing complex employee relations situations. Experience in manufacturing/distribution centers preferred
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate workforce data into actionable business recommendations.
• Experience in workforce planning, talent management, organizational effectiveness, or capability-building initiatives preferred.
• Ability to work independently while partnering effectively across functions and geographies.
• Excellent communication, coaching, and stakeholder management skills.

The ideal candidate combines strong operational HR fundamentals with the ability to think strategically about talent, organizational capability, and business growth. This individual is comfortable being hands-on with day-to-day HR matters while also partnering with Supply Chain leadership to build the workforce capabilities needed to support future business objectives globally.
