The Assistant Manager, Food & Beverage ensures that exceptional customer service is provided. This includes interacting with guests, answering guest inquiries, and effectively handling complaints while maintain professionalism and friendly positive attitude that support HAP service excellence values. This position supervises and motivates team members in line with company standards.
- Ensure all venues are always presentable and ready for service.
- Handle guest complaints according to provided guidelines.
- Assist the F & B Supervisors and Sous Chefs with their duties and responsibilities.
- Maintain safe and healthy work environment by following company standards and sanitation guidelines.
- Contribute effectively to a positive guest experience while maintaining a professional attitude and appearance.
- Aid Leadership Team with interviewing and onboarding of new team members.
- Aid Leadership Team with inventory.
- Support supervisor team with performance check-ins for seasonal team.
- Provided coaching and training to team members with performance challenges, focusing on skill development, goal setting, and improved performance to meet standards.
- Ensure company standards for safety are being met within the operations.
- Carries out management responsibilities in accordance with the Company's policies, objectives, and applicable government laws and regulations.
- Scheduling FOH In perspective outlets as well and adhering to the time off requests.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Experience in positions involving customer service or food and beverage service is required.
- Experience in leadership position(s) is preferred.
- Currently hold or the ability to obtain an Alaska Food Handler’s Card.
- Currently hold or the ability to obtain a valid alcohol safety card for the State of Alaska.
- Minimum age of 21 years required.
- Must pass a pre-employment background check.
- Minimum age of 18 years is required to reside in company housing, where available.
- Must be eligible to work in the United States. Holland America-Princess is unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of employment visas at this time (e.g., H-2B status).

- Ability to organize and prioritize work, maintain attention to time constraints, while working in a team or group environment.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple tasks and external influences.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while achieving daily goals.
- Ability to support and comply with company policies, procedures and guidelines including support and comply with company health and safety standards.
- Ability to stand/walk/work on feet for minimum of 8 hours per day.
