Maintenance Technician
Full-time | Monday - Friday
On-call Rotation Required

JOB SUMMARY:
The Maintenance Technician will perform routine maintenance and minor repairs to residences and other buildings throughout Holland Home.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assumes responsibility for the general maintenance of all systems within the facility including air handling, preventive, water systems, general plumbing, cleaning, general electrical, etc. Performs daily rounds, performs maintenance on a written work system, completes preventive maintenance requests, and identifies and repairs deficiencies.
- Read and record the meter readings for the electrical and gas/boiler systems.
- Assists with room set-ups as requested.
- Provides a safe environment for residents and staff assuring entryways and walkways are free of debris, snow, and ice, assisting with snow removal as needed, etc.
- Conducts testing of various building systems following regulatory requirements; notifies management of malfunctions as needed.
- Assumes responsibility for putting away stock deliveries.
- Guides assigned staff. Duties include assigning and reviewing work, training, and assisting when necessary, etc.
- Observes all safety practices and standards including wearing required safety equipment.
- Ability to operate off of a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) and/or written Work Request system promptly.
- Responds to fire, weather, and disasters as needed or directed.
- Maintains work areas and ensures that tools and equipment are operational, clean, and orderly.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- The job requires knowledge normally acquired through a general high school diploma or equivalent.
- Proof of a valid Michigan driver’s license and vehicle liability insurance is required. The applicant is also required to have a reliable means of transportation.
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Prior Maintenance experience in a caring environment is highly valued
- Must have Technical skills to provide basic maintenance services
PAY AND SCHEDULE:
- Monday - Friday
- 7:00am - 3:30pm
- On-call Required - evening, and holiday hours required for on-call rotation with our other crew members
REQUIREMENTS:
- Must pass a work physical
- Must pass a background check
- Must be able to legally work in the U.S.
- Must be able to read, speak, and write in English
