    Job description

Macmillan Audio seeks a creative and collaborative Marketing Manager to strategize, launch, and execute high-impact, title-level marketing campaigns across a robust audiobook catalog. You will serve as a key ambassador for our audio list, presenting innovative marketing plans directly to authors and agents, and collaborating closely with publicists and internal book teams across Macmillan imprints. Title marketing responsibilities span a variety of genres, from adult to kids, fiction to nonfiction, and mystery/thriller to SFF.

The ideal candidate brings superior project management skills, exceptional poise and confidence, agile problem-solving abilities, and a track record of multi-tasking in a fast-paced environment.

    What you'll do:

    • Drive the concept, creation, and execution of creative and effective title marketing campaigns across a high volume of audiobooks across all genres.
    • Strategize advertising, organic social media, influencer outreach and audiobook-focused growth initiatives to generate strong consumer and industry buzz and impactful sales results.
    • Manage, track, and optimize title-specific marketing budgets to ensure maximum efficiency and impact.
    • Support and build strong relationships with authors and agents, helping them amplify the audiobook format to their audiences.
    • Collaborate closely with producers, publicists, digital accounts, and imprint marketing groups to ensure seamless alignment and maximum awareness across all book formats.
    • Present marketing strategies and campaign pitches with confidence in weekly department meetings, cross-imprint meetings, and meetings with authors, agents, and publishing partners.
    • Demonstrate strong leadership and a strategic vision that elevates the audiobook format and fosters effective communication across teams.

    What you'll bring:

    • Exceptional presentation, public speaking, and communication skills, with the poise to pitch ideas to both internal and external stakeholders.
    • Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and problem-solving abilities to manage a large volume of titles simultaneously under tight deadlines.
    • Demonstrated ability to build inventive, out-of-the-box creative campaigns tailored to diverse book genres.
    • Agile mindset with the capability to evaluate campaign analytics and pivot strategies in real time.
    • A highly collaborative team player who thrives when working across teams.
    • A deep passion for the evolving audiobook and publishing landscape.
    • 5-7 years marketing experience in publishing
    • College degree or related experience

    Salary range: $70,000 - $75,000

    FLSA Status: Exempt
