HVAC Maintenance Technician 1

Position Overview:

Under general supervision, performs preventive maintenance and installs minor/routine parts on all types of HVAC equipment. Install HVAC equipment and other appliances as needed. Completes preventive maintenance, including cleans. At the sole discretion of the Company, Maintenance Technicians may be assigned the work of an assistant as a developmental and/or training opportunity.

Responsibilities:

• Perform preventive maintenance.
• Install minor/routine parts
• Install and make operational HVAC equipment and other appliances as required.
• Maintain good housekeeping, including maintenance of tools and equipment, and maintain required truck stock.
• Accurately apply Company billing and installation procedures.
• Maintain a positive customer service approach.
• Advises customers of and sells Company products and services.

Job Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• HVAC certification and/or training from an accredited technical school are desirable or
• EPA certification required with a minimum of 1-3 years’ experience in HVAC or appliance service work, or
• Completion of an accredited HVAC technical school.

The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to low.
