The Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC), the statutory organisation promoting Hong Kong’s external trade, seeks dynamic, high-calibre and experienced professionals to join our Finance & Accounts Department.
Responsibilities:
- Support monthly projection, and quarter‑end and year‑end closing, including preparing schedules, reconciliations, and audit documentation.
- Prepare financial reports, management analyses, budgets, and forecasts as required.
- Handle AP/AR operations, including invoice processing, staff claims, billing, payments and receipts, and maintain accurate and timely records.
- Perform bank reconciliations and follow up on discrepancies promptly.
- Monitor and reconcile balance sheet accounts to ensure accuracy, completeness, and proper documentation.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal control requirements.
- Contribute to workflow enhancements and support system or process improvement initiatives.
- Undertake ad hoc duties and assignments as needed.
Requirements:
- University graduate or holder of a recognised accounting qualification.
- Minimum 4 years’ relevant experience in professional firms or commercial organisations.
- Solid understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting; exposure to PRC accounting and taxation practices is an advantage.
- Strong analytical ability, attention to detail, and good problem‑solving skills.
- Responsible, well‑organised, and able to work independently under pressure.
- Good communication skills with good command of written English and Chinese.
- Proficient in MS Office applications; knowledge of Oracle or other ERP systems is preferred.
Remuneration and Benefits:
Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
