Hotel Polaris is seeking an exceptional Banquet Houseperson to join our team and play a vital role in shaping the success of Hotel Polaris, an instant icon on the hospitality landscape of Colorado Springs. Responsibilities
- Read and follow Banquet Event Orders (BEO).
- Ensure cleanliness of banquet rooms and surrounding areas.
- Clean banquet space using cleaning machine and chemical product.
- Set up tables, chairs, and other supplies.
- Tear-down and set up of the meeting and event rooms, daily.
- Inspect all public areas (foyer, assembly areas, restrooms) for cleanliness and pleasing appearance.
- Inspect each function room prior to, and during breaks to ensure that all requirements reflected on the daily banquet event order are met.
- Maintain a constant awareness of safety issues.
- Ensure a professional appearance, proper uniforms are worn, and departmental service standards are maintained.
- Basic knowledge of wine, beer, spirits, glassware, garnishes, and beverage service techniques.
- Run food & drinks in a fast-paced environment.
Qualifications
- Prior hospitality experience preferred.
- Must be detail oriented and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Must possess valid Food Handler’s card upon hire.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule that may include evenings, weekends and holidays.
- Must be able to stand on feet and walk throughout the day.
- Must be able to frequently lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
- Must be able to bend, squat, push, pull frequently.

Hourly Rate: $18.00/hr + service charge
