Senior Corporate Accountant

Job Summary:

Responsible for but not limited to maintaining and reconciling various fixed asset accounts, preparing and posting various fixed asset journal entries, preparing monthly Property Plant and Equipment schedules, insuring, and maintaining data integrity of the Fixed Asset Database, and reconciling other general leger accounts which may include cash, prepaids, accruals and other accounts as needed.

A successful candidate will have advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Excel. Qualified candidates will possess outstanding interpersonal and analytical skills and the ability to multi-task projects while meeting aggressive timelines with minimal supervision. Candidates must have strong attention to detail and be result oriented.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Ensures accurate and detailed records, proper accounting treatment, and reporting of fixed Exercises accounting control and proper financial treatment of the accounts in the given specialized area.
• Supports capital expenditure activity including purchases, capitalized labor, and capitalized interest. Includes researching and determining proper accounting treatment of assets and allocation of capital costs, managing, and ensuring consistent execution of corporate capitalization
• Records, classifies, and summarizes financial transactions and events in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP). Reconciles fixed asset ledger to the general
• Resolves differences and initiates corrective action as Maintains responsibility of the corporate accounting Asset Management sub-ledger to provide accurate records of asset cost and depreciation activity.
• Reconciles other general ledger accounts which may include cash, prepaids, accruals, and other accounts as needed.
• Audit Support - assists in the preparation of fixed asset audit schedules, monthly reporting, and ad-hoc
• Prepares monthly and quarterly internal capital expenditure and fixed asset reports for forecasting and annual audit analysis.
• Supports month-end and year-end close activities, including journal entries, analysis, reconciliations, and ensuring the balance sheet and income statement are accurately stated each period.

Education and Experience:

• This position requires excellent knowledge of GAAP and experience in accounting for fixed assets preferred.
• SAP (S/4HANA) experience preferred.
• Experienced with Sage Software fixed asset system preferred.
• Preferably 5+ years’ accounting experience
• Bachelor’s degree with an Accounting or Finance concentration required or equivalent
• Advanced Excel user and ability to adapt to continually changing technology.
• Ability to create ad hoc queries in database, comfortable with technology.

The pay range for this position is $99,000 - $113,000 USD. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience and location.
