The Yard Helper is responsible for assisting with the organization, loading, unloading, and maintenance of lumber and building materials in our yard. The ideal candidate is physically fit, safety-conscious, and has a positive attitude with a willingness to learn and support the team.

• Load and unload lumber, building materials, and supplies for customers and delivery trucks.
• Assist customers with locating, selecting, and loading materials in a safe and timely manner.
• Organize, stack, and store materials in designated areas, ensuring items are accessible and easy to locate.

• Keep track of stock levels and report any low inventory or damaged products to management.
• Help with inventory counts, tagging, and labeling items for clear identification.
• Assist with restocking and moving materials within the yard as needed.

• Keep the yard clean and free of debris, ensuring safe pathways and work areas.
• Conduct routine inspections of tools and equipment, reporting any issues to supervisors.
• Adhere to all safety protocols, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and safe lifting techniques.

• Work collaboratively with the yard and sales teams to fulfill orders and support smooth daily operations.
• Assist drivers with loading and securing loads on delivery trucks.
• Provide general support and complete additional tasks as assigned by supervisors.

• Previous experience in a similar role, construction, or warehouse environment is a plus, but not required.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physically demanding tasks outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety.
• Basic communication skills to work effectively with team members and customers.
• Forklift experience or certification is a plus (training provided if needed).
