    • Ensure financial data is accurate, consistent, and decision-ready

    3. Compliance, Tax & Audit Support

    • Ensure compliance with GAAP and all applicable federal, state, and local regulations
    • Oversee sales/use tax, payroll tax, and multi-state compliance coordination
    • Partner with external tax advisors, auditors, and accounting firms
    • Prepare audit schedules and support audits and regulatory reviews

    4. Payroll, Benefits & Intercompany Oversight

    • Oversee payroll accounting, reconciliations, and accruals
    • Ensure proper accounting for benefits, workers’ compensation, and employer taxes
    • Manage intercompany transactions, allocations, and eliminations

    5. Systems, Controls & Process Improvement

    • Own accounting systems (QuickBooks, NetSuite, or similar)
    • Identify inefficiencies and implement scalable accounting processes
    • Strengthen internal controls to support growth and audit readiness
    • Ensure SOPs are documented and followed

    6. Leadership & Cross-Functional Collaboration

    • Lead, mentor, and develop accounting team members
    • Partner cross-functionally with HR, Operations, Legal, and Executive teams
    • Serve as the primary accounting leader and point of contact for financial operations

    Qualifications

    Required

    • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting is highly preferred and considered a critical requirement

    • Strong working knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting
    • Experience managing month-end close and multi-entity accounting
