We are looking for a self-starter who takes pride in machine ownership, understands material behavior across substrates, and can independently troubleshoot technical challenges.

This role is responsible for the end-to-end operation, maintenance, and optimization of large-format flatbed printing and cutting systems, ensuring consistent quality, efficiency, and machine uptime.

    Key Responsibilities

    Flatbed UV-LED Print Operations

    • Serve as the lead operator for a 64” x 112” Flatbed UV-LED Printer

    • Operate both roll media and rigid sheet applications

    • Follow and maintain established step-by-step production workflows with precision

    • Execute weekly cleaning protocols and scheduled maintenance to ensure optimal uptime and color consistency

    • Monitor print output for banding, color accuracy, adhesion, and registration issues, making real-time adjustments as needed

    Flatbed Cutter Operations

    • Operate a 51” x 120” Flatbed Cutter for high-precision finishing on rigid and roll stock

    • Configure and manage multi-module tool holders, including specialized tools for textiles or fabric finishing when applicable

    • Utilize the integrated router system to finish solid boards and heavy-duty materials as needed

    • Perform routine calibration and upkeep of cutting heads and router bits to maintain clean edges and dimensional accuracy

Technical Problem Solving & Machine Ownership

    • Act as the first line of defense for machine, workflow, and production issues

    • Independently reference manufacturer manuals, technical documentation, and support portals to diagnose and resolve problems

    • Identify bottlenecks across print-to-cut workflows and implement efficiency improvements

    • Maintain organized inventory of inks, replacement parts, tooling, and consumables

    File Preparation & Pre-Press Support

    • Review incoming files for technical compatibility with printer and cutter capabilities

    • Convert files to PDF format with properly named swatches in Adobe Illustrator

    • Prepare files in VersaWorks for printing and Axis Control for cutting prior to execution

    • Ensure cut paths, bleed, registration, and finishing specs meet production standards

    Candidate Requirements

    Required

    • Proven experience operating large-format machinery (UV printers, digital cutters, CNC routers, or similar equipment)

    • Working knowledge of Adobe Illustrator

    • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

    • Confidence navigating technical manuals and documentation to resolve machine issues

    • Strong understanding of how various materials (paper, PVC, acrylic, aluminum composite, textiles) react to UV ink and cutting methods

    • Exceptional attention to detail related to color registration, cut paths, and finishing quality

    Preferred

    • Experience operating flatbed UV printers and flatbed cutters in a production environment

    • Familiarity with VersaWorks, Axis Control, or similar RIP/cutter software

    • Experience experimenting with new substrates and optimizing workflows

    Physical & Work Requirements

    • Ability to lift, load, and maneuver large rigid sheets and heavy rolls of media

    • Ability to stand for extended periods during production runs

    • Comfortable working around heavy machinery and production equipment

What Success Looks Like in This Role

    • Machines operate reliably with minimal downtime

    • Print and cut quality remains consistent across runs and materials

    • Issues are identified and resolved independently and proactively

    • Print-to-cut workflows operate efficiently with minimal rework

    • Production output meets quality, accuracy, and timing expectations

    Compensation & Benefits

Hourly Pay Range: $28.00 – $38.00 per hour

Placement within the range is based on experience with large-format equipment, technical troubleshooting ability, and level of independent machine ownership.

Eligible employees may also receive access to company-sponsored benefits in accordance with HR MGMT 10, LLC plans and eligibility requirements.
