The Accounts Receivable (AR) Manager at HR MGMT 10, LLC is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the company’s accounts receivable operations, ensuring timely and accurate billing, collection, and reconciliation of incoming payments. This role plays a key part in maintaining healthy cash flow and supporting financial compliance in a highly regulated, fast-paced industry. The ideal candidate brings a deep understanding of AR best practices, strong communication skills, and industry-specific experience—preferably in cannabis, pharmaceutical, or food and beverage sectors.
Manage all AR activities, including invoice generation, payment processing, and cash application.
Monitor the aging of receivables and implement effective collection strategies.
Coordinate with sales and customer service to resolve billing discrepancies and ensure prompt payment.
Prepare and analyze AR aging reports; escalate overdue accounts with action plans for resolution.
Post payments, credits, refunds, and adjustments accurately and timely in the financial system.
Reconcile customer accounts and resolve any account variances or disputed items.
Ensure all AR processes align with GAAP and cannabis industry financial compliance standards.
Support month-end close processes by preparing AR-related journal entries and reconciliations.
Maintain audit-ready documentation for external auditors and regulatory bodies.
Ensure proper tax application on all customer invoices in accordance with state and local laws.
Identify opportunities to improve AR workflows and automate processes for efficiency.
Develop and implement AR policies and procedures to maintain accuracy and consistency.
Collaborate with finance and operations teams to support improved forecasting and reporting.
Communicate effectively with internal departments regarding outstanding balances and payment issues.
Provide routine updates to the Finance Manager on AR performance metrics, cash flow impact, and collection forecasts.
Represent the AR function in cross-departmental initiatives and compliance reviews.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Minimum 5 years of experience in accounts receivable management, preferably in a regulated industry such as cannabis, pharmaceutical, or food and beverage.
Proficient in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Microsoft Excel, and AR reporting tools.
Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Must be 21+ years old.
Must be able to pass a criminal background check.
Ability to obtain and maintain any required state-specific certifications for financial roles within the cannabis industry.
Ability to perform standard office tasks (sitting, standing, using computer equipment).
