You will promote a culture of high expectations, continuous improvement and good practice, while making sure NWTC meets all relevant quality and regulatory requirements.
You will work closely with senior leaders, curriculum teams and staff to improve teaching, assessment, learner engagement and achievement. You will also oversee quality assurance activities, staff development and preparations for inspections, accreditation visits and reporting requirements.

    • Lead and implement NWTC's Quality Strategy, promoting consistently high standards in teaching, learning and assessment across the organisation.
    • Lead quality improvement initiatives, supporting curriculum teams to enhance teaching practice, assessment, learner engagement and outcomes.
    • Design and oversee quality assurance processes including self-assessment, internal reviews, audits, compliance checks and standardisation.

    • Excellent relationship management, innovation and problem-solving skills.
    • Teaching qualification such as PGCE, Cert Ed or QTLS is desirable.
    • Experience of shaping professional development programmes is desirable.
    • Knowledge of digital learning, emerging pedagogy and innovation in curriculum design is desirable.
North West Training Council (NWTC) is committed to providing and maintaining safe and secure working conditions for all staff and learners. The organisation promotes safe practice and provides appropriate information, training and supervision in relation to safeguarding, including tackling extremism and radicalisation.
NWTC recognises its responsibility to take all reasonable steps to promote safe practice and protect young people and vulnerable adults from harm, abuse, exploitation and extremist views.
