AC & REFRIGERATION TECHNICIAN

Job Summary: The A/C & refrigeration technician is responsible for promoting full customer satisfaction by ensuring facility upkeep and maintenance and preservation of asset life through application of well-established concepts and innovative ideas by a highly skilled, equipped and motivated workforce.

Responsibilities:

• Inspecting A/C and refrigeration equipment daily to ensure proper functioning.
• Performing preventative maintenance work on A/C and refrigeration equipment.
• Responding promptly to emergency breakdown of A/C and refrigeration equipment & systems.
• Checking ice machines and refrigerators for proper operation and temperature.
• Maintaining proper logs and service records of A/C and refrigeration equipment.
• Working on maintenance requests submitted by various departments.
• Assisting with establishing a stock of supplies and equipment necessary to carry out work.

Qualifications:

• Minimum High School Leaving Certificate/Diploma.
• Certificate from recognised Tertiary and/or Vocational Training Institution.
• Skill level and/or Technical Competence equivalent to at least Level II HEART Trust NTA certification.
