FOOD & BEVERAGE DIRECTOR
Job Summary: The food and beverage director is responsible for managing operations of all food and beverage outlets on the property to deliver an excellent guest experience. He/She will also be required to manage, train, and develop team members and work within all budgeted guidelines.
Responsibilities:
- Displaying thorough knowledge of food and beverage operations, including foods, beverages, supervisory aspects, service techniques, and guest interaction
- Managing all food and beverage outlets
- Ensuring compliance with brand standards
- Setting departmental targets and objectives, work schedules, budgets, policies, and procedures
- Evaluating guest satisfaction levels with a focus on continuous improvement
Qualifications:
- College or university degree in hospitality management and/or equivalent experience/education
- A minimum of five (5) years' progressive experience in food & beverage management in a first-class hotel, at least one (1) of which should have been in the position of food & beverage manager
- Computer literate with knowledge of computer applications and software
- Up to date with food and beverage trends and best practices
- Guest-oriented and service-minded
- International experience would be an advantage
- Ability to work under pressure and deal with stressful situations during busy periods
- Strong organisational and leadership skills are required to guide the department to excellence
