LINEN ROOM ATTENDANT
Job Summary: The successful candidate will be responsible for the control of all inventory within the housekeeping department and assisting housekeeping coordinator in providing support services to housekeeping team members.
Responsibilities:
- Receiving and counting stock items, and recording data
- Distributing linen
- Inspecting stock items for wear or defects
- Verifing inventory computations by comparing them to physical counts of stock.
- Investigating inventory discrepancies and adjusts errors
- Determining proper storage methods, identification, and stock location based on turnover, environmental factors, and physical capabilities of facilities
- Recommending disposal of excess, defective, or obsolete stock
Qualifications:
- BSc. Hotel/Business Management or equivalent
- Minimum two (2) years' work experience in a similar or comparative position
Work Environment:
- Walking and standing for long hours
- Lifting, pushing, pulling and carrying heavy objects
- Ability to bend, squat, sit, climb, reach and kneel
