PUBLIC RELATIONS MANAGER
Job Summary: The public relations manager will be heavily involved in both internal communications and media relations and will be instrumental in the resort's community outreach activities.
Responsibilities:
- Demonstrating an understanding of public relations
- Identifying and pursuing media opportunities and selling stories to local and regional media
- Capitalizing on media opportunities from new and existing activities
- Completing multiple projects simultaneously
- Coordinating events and logistics for international press visits and/or video and photo shoots
- Executing PR-driven events and other activities
- Creating and executing Sandals Foundation activities
- Assisting with the planning of guest-related resort activities
Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Arts Degree in Mass Communications, Public Relations, Journalism or related field
- Minimum two years' experience in Public Relations, Hospitality or related field
- Ability to work flexible hours and to deadlines
- Proficient in MS Office and other related programmes
- Ambition, drive and a pleasant personality are a must
