WEDDING PLANNER
Job Summary: The resort wedding planner is responsible for the sales, service, planning, organisation, communication and overall execution of all aspects of weddings. He/She will provide administrative support including inventory management, drafting reports, proper handling of wedding documentation, maintaining a filing system and departmental records. He/She will be an expert in analysing the needs and expectations of the client as well as the ability to meet and exceed those needs and expectations.
Responsibilities:
- Planning all aspects of wedding events in consultation with clients and supporting departments
- Executing all aspects of weddings and wedding-related activities
- Preparing and dispatching wedding function sheets, BEOs, and event calendars
- Meeting prospective clients, conducting site inspections, and finalising arrangements with clients
- Enhancing Sandals brand recognition for quality by creating memorable weddings that lead to positive referrals
- Ensuring that wedding venues are correctly set up and decorated on time
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 2 years' wedding/social event service management experience in a full service, luxury hotel/resort operation and administrative experience
- College/University Degree
- Diploma/Certification - Event Planning (preferred)
- Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Must be flexible and able to work evenings, weekends and/or holidays
- Excellent command of English: written and verbal
