    Job description

    About Us

Hungryroot is using AI to build the most consumer-centric food and wellness company to ever exist. We act as your personal assistant for healthy living—getting to know your goals, lifestyle, and budget, and recommending and delivering healthy groceries, easy recipes, and essential supplements for you and your family.

It’s the easiest way to eat healthy, achieve your goals, save time, and discover new foods. We believe food is the foundation of health, convenience should not mean compromise, and that everyone is unique in how they eat and live. That’s why we’re building a future in which healthy living is both easy and enjoyable.

Hungryroot is a distributed team of top talent across 28+ U.S. states. While we have a headquarters in New York City, our remote-first culture emphasizes collaboration, team-building, and flexibility. Expect regular virtual team events, strong ownership and accountability, and an annual company retreat.

    About the Role

Hungryroot is seeking a highly-motivated, strategic and data-driven Senior Analyst, Pricing and Business Analytics to lead Pricing analytics and contribute to our core business performance reporting.

You will work closely with the Finance and Product teams to measure the impact of pricing initiatives on financial performance and retention. This is a high impact, high visibility role for someone with deep pricing experience from creating reporting structures to sharing insights with executive audiences. You will also have a hand in analyzing overall business performance and maintaining our high standard of KPI reporting.

This role sits within the Analytics & Finance team, which owns central analytics, strategic insights, and key performance metrics across the business. We’re a detail-oriented, analytical group that supports leadership with clear, data-driven guidance—combining historical trends and forward-looking analysis to drive decision-making. We thrive on solving complex problems and turning data into actionable insights.

Important: This is a hands-on role! At Hungryroot, we are all technical individual contributors in our respective fields and as such, this role requires a deep understanding of complex SQL queries and pricing models.

    Responsibilities

    • Partner with the Product team to design and proactively propose new pricing experiments. Recommend next steps based on findings.
    • Synthesize and present pricing experiment findings and financial impact with the Product team and leadership.
    • Build in-depth reporting to measure pricing performance and quantify impact on business KPIs and financial results.
    • Identify core KPI trends and changes (pricing-related or otherwise), and run follow-up analyses to understand the drivers.
    • Maintain KPI metric datasets and build automations and AI tooling to enable efficient reporting and self-service insights.

    Qualifications

    • 2-5 years of experience in strategic and pricing analytics (developing pricing models, analyzing pricing A/B tests)
    • Experience analyzing A/B tests and familiar with experimentation best practices
    • Advanced SQL skills, with an ability to create new tables / schemas on an ad hoc basis
    • Strong analytical skills and problem-solving capabilities
    • Exceptional communication and presentation skills with the ability to effectively communicate insights and information to our most senior executives
    • Experience using and building dashboards in Looker or similar BI tool
    • Proven experience using AI (e.g., ChatGPT/Claude, Cursor, Looker AI, or similar) to accelerate and QA analysis, or build lightweight automations.
    • Hyper organized; self-driven motivation with a high degree of organization, efficiency, and attention to detail
    • Bachelor’s Degree

    Nice to Have

    • D2C experience at a subscription-based company
    • Python

    Perks & Benefits

    • Remote-first: work from home, work from our NYC office, work from anywhere in the U.S. - you decide!
    • Equity
    • Unlimited vacation policy
    • Universal paid parental leave
    • Monthly Hungryroot credit for delicious, healthy groceries
    • Comprehensive health, vision, dental, and life insurance
    • Wellbeing benefits
    • 401k with match
    • A work from home stipend to support your initial home-office setup

    Expected Salary Range:
    $110,000 - $125,000 USD
