Accounting Intern

A Brief Overview
The Accounting Intern will gain exposure to various areas of accounting and reporting, as well as aspects of the company's business, through collaboration with team members and the use of technology tools. This may include various duties to support the team's goal of timeliness and accuracy, including processing and recording of fixed assets, journal entry preparation, general ledger reconciliation, reconciling bank activity, and preparing quarterly financial reports, both internally and externally, together with various ad hoc projects.
What you will do

• Enters data for fixed assets.
• Reconciles bank transactions.
• Obtains necessary documentation from business unit personnel to prepare and enter journal entries.
• Runs required reports for internal and external use.
• Assists with monthly accounting close checklists for various accounting departments.
• Performs monthly reconciliation of certain general ledger accounts.
• Assists with the creation of assigned accrual entries.
• Gains a working understanding and summarizes relevant agreements.

Education Qualifications

• Accounting major from an accredited university with an anticipated graduation date August 2027 or later from the application date required.
• Major GPA of 3.7 required.

• Knowledge of basic accounting principles.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Ability to prioritize, multitask, and meet deadlines.
• Analytical and detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Excel and MS Office.
• Ability to pay close attention to detail and work independently.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Motivation and a strong desire to take on new challenges and learn as much as possible in an environment with complex transactions, and willingness to ask questions/request support when needed.
