    Objective
    Main Objective of the Position This position will focus on the daily activities that will drive operational excellence at the Branch. They will assist the Branch Manager to ensure that branch process, policy and procedure is adhered to. They will lead from the front and role model customer engagement and solution selling practices. They will assist and coach the Branch Team to deliver upon performance metrics
    Key Areas of Responsibility
    Branch Manager support Support and action “best practice” Health and Safety Policies to assist the Branch site to maintain legal and ethical compliance.
    To train to become competent in all aspects of the role.
    To train and develop others to become proficient in their roles.
    People Leadership & Management
    Effectively manages and leads the Branch Team in relation to day to day Branch operations. Sets the standard for professional behaviour and leads by example. Provides direction, mentoring and training the team to ensure they are prepared and have the correct skill levels to carry out their roles effectively. This will be measured through team performance and engagement levels.
    Customer Relationships
    Builds and maintains strong relationships with key internal customers, influencers within the organisation. These will be measured through internal customer service surveys.

    Environmental, Health & Safety
    Key Areas of Responsibility Comply with Hynds Health, Safety, Environmental and Injury Management practices, policies, procedures, values and instructions
    ·       Takes personal responsibility for the health and safety of themselves and others
    ·       Reports incidents and near misses in a timely and accurate manner
    ·       Never interfering with or misusing equipment, machinery or any other items supplied at work
    ·       House Keeping - To ensure your workplace, tools, equipment is regularly kept cleaned and maintained in its original condition at the end of your working day.
    ·       Regular attendance and involvement in site Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) Meetings
    ·       To encourage the culture within the organisation of every person taking responsibility and demonstrating that good environmental, health and safety practices are essential if hurt and harm are to be avoided in the workplace and environment.
    Key Attributes Facilitate meeting all site Environmental Resource Consent conditions

    • Ensure all staff are given the opportunity to be engaged in Health, Safety, Environmental processes and procedures.
    • Foster a strong and collaborative safety culture
    • Facilitates and participates in regular Health, Safety, Environmental Meetings
    • Identifies and facilitates the delivery of specific training for people to do their job safely
      Develops and delivers the Annual Health, Safety, Environmental Improvement site plan Key Attributes
      Industry Experience
    • Experience of leading teams in a customer service environment

    • Has passion/focus on results. Can demonstrate ability to change the result themselves and takes accountability for result.
    • The ability to manage administration and work to tight deadlines in a calm, accurate and effective manner
