Import/Export Operations Supervisor

At Hynds, our Pokeno site is one of the most advanced automated precast facilities in the Southern Hemisphere, and it's built to be a model factory: clean, safe, capable, and something our whole team is proud of. We're looking for an Import / Export Operations Supervisor to lead the daily flow of containers through the yard, keeping things moving safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.

If you know your way around a forklift, love a well-planned load, and get a kick out of leading a crew that works well together, this could be your next move.

What you'll be doing

• Supervising the devanning of import containers and the loading of export containers
• Loading and securing exports to load plans, weight distribution requirements, and customer specs
• Inspecting arriving containers for seal integrity, damage, and MPI compliance
• Running quality checks before anything leaves the yard
• Keeping load-out times tight by coordinating loaders and working closely with dispatch
• Making sure stock condition is accurately recorded in M3

What you'll bring

• 2–5 years' forklift experience in civil construction, building, or manufacturing
• Full NZ driver licence (Class 1) with F endorsement, plus relevant tickets
• Practical yard health and safety experience, with a genuine commitment to getting everyone home safe
• Leadership ability, including coaching, motivating, and holding people to a high standard
• A good eye for detail and a process-driven approach
• Confidence with computers and MS Office (M3 experience is a bonus)
• Clear communication skills and the ability to build good relationships inside and outside the business
