Job Summary:

The Foreign Exchange Wire Specialist I is responsible for providing the foreign exchange (FX) wire service to existing and prospective customers while delivering the “IBC Experience”. Duties must be carried out accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced environment. This includes assigned duties in accordance with office procedures. Superior customer service with a “We Do More” attitude is a must. Provides an excellent opportunity for career-oriented individual.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

• Delivers the IBC Experience by providing prompt, efficient and friendly customer service.

• Informed of the daily currency exchange market rates.

• Provides exchange rates to customers requesting wires in foreign currency.

• Negotiates exchange rates with customers/prospects.

• Creates FX quotes and initiates wire process through the Wire Transfer application.

• Provide verbal disclosures to customers to comply with regulatory requirements.

• Assists Foreign Exchange Traders.

• Other Duties as assigned.

SKILLS

• Strong sales skills.

• Knowledge of major world currencies and their value in relation to the U.S. Dollar.

• Strong written and oral communication skills in English and Spanish.

• Able to process transactions accurately and efficiently.

• Proficient in computer skills and knowledgeable in Microsoft Office and its applications.

• Bilingual, fluent in both English and Spanish.

• Basic math skills and ability to use calculator functions.

• Analytical skills, with attention to detail.

• Team player.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.

• Prior sales or office work experience a plus.
