Ichor Systems has an immediate opening for a Welder located in Sauk Rapids, MN.
- Running of various welding machines to include hand welding, using a TIG welder and orbital welding using an orbital welding machine of stainless steel and other high purity materials.
- Execute all of Ichor’s Standard Operating Procedures as they pertain to manufacturing related duties.
- Responsible for the study of prints, drawings and specifications to complete finished welds and lay out of tasks using specialized computer welding equipment.
- Demonstrated Ability to process and inspect work in accordance to prints.
- Ability to perform a sequence of operations, consistently maintaining the performance level set for quality and quantity.
- Other duties as assigned.
Responsibilities
- Basic PC skills for manufacturing.
- Experience working in high-purity clean room environment.
- Mechanically inclined.
- Visual acuity and manual dexterity.
- Ability to handle fragile products, perform repetitive tasks and demonstrate safety awareness.
- Proficiently use all approved hand gauges to inspect component quality at the work center.
- Ability to exercise discretion and independent judgment.
- Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend and lift up to 50lbs.
- Ability to read and comprehend technical drawings, correspondence, and documents.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, percentages, and decimals.
- Ability to communicate verbally and in writing effectively with supervisors, leads, and peers.
- Ability to recognize deviation from accepted practices.
- Basic understanding of related mechanics, flow control elements and MRP concepts. 3-4+ years manufacturing or related work experience - semiconductor industry preferred.
- Commitment to quality, customer focused mindset both internally and externally.
- Successful completion of a 2-year professional trade program in Welding Technology or equivalent- or currently enrolled in such a program
- Basic math, blueprint reading and weld to print skills.
- 3+ years work experience performing Tig welding of stainless steel or less experience with a Welding technology degree (or currently enrolled in Welding Technology Degree program).
For candidates based in Minnesota: The pay range is $19.09 - $32.45 hourly, non-exempt.
